Stabilising ankle brace

Orthèse de cheville Push Ortho Ankle Brace Aequi pour maintien et stabilisation de la cheville

Ankle brace designed to support the joint and improve safety while walking

This ankle brace supports a weak, painful or unstable ankle. It limits sideways movement while allowing the foot to move more naturally during walking.

The stabilising ankle brace provides stronger support than a soft ankle sleeve. It may be used after a ligament injury, in cases of ankle instability or during recovery.

A firm support on the inside of the ankle helps stabilise the joint. A padded section also follows the shape of the foot for greater comfort.

The ankle brace limits movements that turn the foot inwards or outwards. However, it still allows the ankle to bend during walking. Therefore, the foot can roll forward more naturally.

Adjustable straps keep the brace securely in place. They also allow the level of support to be adapted to the user’s comfort.

For the best support, wear the ankle brace over a sock. Use it with a closed and stable shoe that fits correctly.

The correct side, size and adjustment depend on the user’s anatomy. Professional advice is therefore recommended.

At OrthoGreen Mobility, an orthopaedic bandagist in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Brussels, we help you choose and adjust an ankle brace suited to your needs.

The correct ankle brace depends on the affected side, the level of pain and the degree of instability. The type of shoe also plays an important role.

A brace that is too tight may cause pressure or numbness. In contrast, a brace that is too loose may not provide enough stability.

Our team can check the size, strap position and comfort while walking. We help you achieve stable and appropriate ankle support.
