Short walking boot

Botte orthopédique courte AirSelect pour immobilisation de la cheville

Short orthopaedic boot designed to immobilise and protect the foot or ankle

This short walking boot protects the foot and ankle during recovery. It provides targeted support after an injury or surgery. Walking should only begin when approved by a healthcare professional.

The short walking boot mainly immobilises the foot and ankle. Its compact design is suitable when the lower leg does not require high support.

It may be used after a stable fracture, a severe sprain or a soft-tissue injury. It can also support recovery after foot surgery.

The semi-rigid shell protects the injured area. In addition, the adjustable straps keep the foot in a stable position.

Inflatable support areas allow the pressure around the foot and ankle to be adjusted. Therefore, the fit can be adapted when swelling or comfort changes.

The curved sole supports the rolling movement of the foot. It also helps absorb some of the impact during authorised walking.

The correct size is essential. A boot that is too small may cause excessive pressure. In contrast, a boot that is too large may provide less stability.

At OrthoGreen Mobility in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Brussels, we help you choose and adjust a short walking boot suited to your prescription.

The correct short walking boot depends on the injury, shoe size and required level of support.

The heel should remain at the back of the boot. The straps should then secure the foot without causing pain, pressure or numbness.

Our team can check the size, fastening tension and stability while walking. We also explain how to put on, adjust and remove the boot correctly.
